Welcome to our website

The State of Florida’s Taskforce on African American History is commissioned by the Florida Department of Education to raise the awareness of Florida Statute 1003.42 2(h) which requires the infusion of the history and contributions of African Americans into the K-12 curricula of Florida schools.

This website is designed to serve as a portal for students, parents, and teachers to provide access to information on the history of African Americans. On this site you will find information, web links, and curricular resources that highlight the contributions of African Americans.
